Senses connect the human
body to its environment
Sight
Light rays enter the eye and they
are first bent by the cornea.
The rays pass through the pupil and
through the lens.
The rays form an upside down image
on the retina at the back of the eye
The nerve sends the information to
The brain where the stimulus is processed.
Hearing
Sound waves enter the ear and vibrates eardrum. When the sound waves strike eardrum, it transmits to a tiny bone called the stirrup, hammer, and anvil.
Cells in the cochlea send a message to the brain.
Touch
The nervous system is divided in to two:The central nervous system & the peripheral nervous system
